Visited on Sunday evening with my husband and three teenage sons, none of which had tried Tapas before. What a brilliant introduction to traditional Spanish Tapas. Food was excellent in taste, look and portion size. Mark was extremely helpful in helping us with our choices of food and wine without being over-bearing. Will definately be returning for more of the same. Highly recommended.

This is such a great venue for soul music. So many good singers & DJ's, especially Georgie B & the Zero guys. There is never any trouble here ( no drugs, no drunk teenagers), it is a very friendly place. Even when it looks packed it doesn't take long to get served at the bar as the staff are so good & the wine is great too. I never bother going into Southend anymore. If you want a good night out with great music I don't think you can beat Marcos. I've brought friends here & they have all said "it's just like being on holiday!" The atmosphere is brilliant, especially on summer nights when the front is opened up. Thanks to Marcos for all you do to keep great music alive & to give people a good, happy, fun & safe night out. Even the bouncers are lovely! It may be a mistake to have written this as now I'll have to turn up even earlier to be sure of getting in!                                                                  Hazel

I just wanted to personally say thank you for making my Mum’s hen do so perfect.  From the food to the venue to the music to all the staff – it was perfect. The feedback from everyone was the same and they couldn’t speak high enough of the quality of food, the food choice and just the night as a whole.You must be very proud of your restaurant/bar and I know we will definitely be visiting again soon! 

Visited Marco's Bar a few weeks back with my boyfriend on a Tuesday night. The place was pretty much empty except for a few people who were drinking at the bar. This didn't bother us though as this usually means you have great service. The restaurant itself has a lovely taverna like feel, and the owner Mark is really friendly guy. He was more than happy to explain a few dishes on the menu.The menu is brilliant - so much to choose from. To start we ordered the toasted bread with tomatoes and brie to share which was lovely, then we had about 7 dishes between the two of us, but with such decent size portion this was far too much food! Was all delicious though and would recommend the chicken with cream cheese & courgettes!! The only thing I could fault about the restaurant is the choice of music -they were playing a mix of cheesy r&b from the 90s and I think totally spoils the Spanish vibe. Overall we had a great meal out though, great value for money and very tasty food - thanks!

I visited this restaurant the other week and i was bowled over i was served by the owner who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the wine menu. The menu has over 50 freshly cooked tapas dishes rather large compared to other tapas places but the food had bags of flavour and was very nice. After the meal i spoke with chef and could not believe he was only 25 the passion he has about the food and menu was beyond belief. I visited this restaurant on a Tuesday with my partner. I was slightly apprehensive given it is a bar restaurant however it was quite quiet and all in all a very nice experience. The food was very good, reasonably priced, prepared fresh - unlike some chains and the portion sizes were bigger. All in all I couldn't recommend this place enough.
